Manchester United defender Alexander Buttner has lifted the lid on life behind the scenes at Old Trafford - and says he has never worked with a manager as angry as Sir Alex Ferguson.
Buttner arrived at Manchester United over the summer from Vitesse Arnhem and was forced to adjust to life under Ferguson quickly, admitting that he learned to 'say yes' despite struggling with the Scottish manager's accent.
And the Dutch left-back has revealed Ferguson has no time for reputations, and is not afraid to go 'full blast' at the likes of Wayne Rooney or Paul Scholes.
“The dialect of some people here is really hard to understand and I just lose the plot completely sometimes." he told the Mirror.
“I had that with Mr Ferguson. I just learned to answer ‘Yes’ to everything he said to me without knowing what he was talking about.
“He doesn't always say nice stuff. In fact, I have never worked under a manager who goes as ballistic as Mr Ferguson.
“I have never seen a temper like his before — and he doesn’t care who he has a go at.
“He makes no exceptions for Wayne Rooney or Paul Scholes or Nani. He goes full blast at everyone and he is razor-sharp.”
Manchester United ensured their six point gap at the top of the table over rivals Manchester City remained in tact yesterday with a 3-1 win over Sunderland at Old Trafford.
