Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has identified France Under 19 centre back Kurt Zouma as another summer transfer target.
Ferguson wants to buy a long-term replacement for Nemanja Vidic at the end of the season and has sent scouts to watch Benfica’s Ezequiel Garay several times.
The United boss is also keeping a close eye on St Etienne’s Zouma, 18, a player tipped to be one of his country’s best.
Zouma has been offered a new contract at St Etienne, so United may have to move this summer if they want to buy him for his £8m valuation.
